I am a 53 year old single male that has worked residential/commercial construction since I was 16. When work was slow or on days off I bar tended at, managed and operated the same bar for 28 years.

I became interested in computers during my high school years, but did not really get into them until the mid 90s. My first computer was a Gateway 2000 P150 that ran Win95, Win98 and before it's demise Win98SE. It suffered during the five years that I messed with the registry and numerous overclocking attempts. When it started to fail I decided to jump in and build my own PC.

To gather knowledge about computers I started using Google constantly. One day a search brought me to ZDTV. I soon joined the forums and stayed with them throughout their changes, TechTV and G4TV. Once G4 took over the forums became disorganized. I spread out and joined several other noted computer forums including WindowsBBS. I started HijackThis training at GeeksToGo, but needed to take some time off from it due to a job I contracted. Hopefully I can resume training by the end of summer.

In August of 2001 I was injured doing a remodeling job. My wounds seemed to heal, but I ended up with an internal staph infection which attacked my liver. I ended up receiving a liver transplant in 2003. Many of those who personally know me and my doctors are amazed that I survived. I had been in and out of several hospitals for a total of five different surgeries from 2001 to 2004. I will be visiting my transplant surgeons next Monday for my 5 year prognosis.
