    Ramona,

This has been happening while I was using Netscape 7.1 and now continues with Mozilla 1.6. Whenever I first start the browser, the first link I click, everything freezes for about 30-45 seconds then starts running as normal. This will also happen if I check my e-mail first thing. It's like there is no cable signal for the first 30 seconds after startup.

    Any idea why?

I also have noticed a problem with Mozilla when i'm say at iwon.com. If I go to the "instant win" ticket there and play that, the images do not change over. I checked my settings in the scripts area of the browser setup and everything is set to where it was with Netscape but it's not working.

    Any idea on this?

    Thanks! :)

    Hi Kenny,

I'm not sure what's going on with the hang on the links, or Mail. Which cable company is it?

I accessed the iwon.com site, but you have to be a member to log into the instant win ticket page, so I have no way to check this out. Is there another non member site where you have the problem with images?

    Kenny,

I neglected to ask you the basic questions, which are:

Have you deleted the Cache folder
    The history.dat file
    The XUL.mfl file
All are located in your salted (*.slt) folder.

    Ramona,

iwon seems to be the only site where the images do not change as they should. I've tried everything but cannot get it to work as it did in Netscape.

I delete my cache file daily but have no idea about the history.dat or XUL.mfl files. I looked for them today but cannot find them or the .slt folder.

    Thanks, Ramona

    Ken

    Hi Ken,

Can you tell us what happened with Netscape 7.1 that doesn't happen in Mozilla? I'm not completely clear on what you mean by "the images do not change over ". Sorry to be so dense...

See this page for: Profiles Folder Location

    Ramona.

What I mean is that when i play that "instant win" ticket game at iwon.com, when you click play, it shows three squares that change to images so you can see if you've matched three to win a prize.

    It's no real big deal.

    Ken,

In Preferences | Privacy & Security | Images

Try going into "Manage Image Permission "
Add the iwon site, and see if that will allow you to view those three images.
