    a few problems,,,

hey team, im having a few problems.. firstly, when i try something like right clicking one IE and selecting Properties i get a message that reads "windows cannot access this specific device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item. "

i get the same message when i try to open add/remove programs.

my other problem is that when i try to just open a .jpg, which are associated with my image preview program, i get a message that says "location/filename.jpg is not a valid win32 application "

basically my problems occured when i started to attempt to clean out some of my computer,, i just foudn out that some processes are not viewable by hitting ctrl+alt+delete, so i got a third party process viewer and saw some fishy programs in the mix,, here they are:

    thanks in advance..
    max.

No theres quit a few that dont show normaly.

did you delete any ? or just kill the proccess ?
If the first you might best use system restore.. if the second just restart your PC

all the proccess's you listed are OK
Often installing the free infranview will fix image problems
IrfanView - most popular viewers worldwide: http://www.irfanview.com/

Is your Operating system up to date Is Internet explorer up to date ?
have you ran a full system scan with a anti virus program and done an online scan ?

    Go start run
    scanreg /fix
hit enter,, if nothing happens go start, programs ,accessories
ms-dos prompt ..open it and type
    scanreg /fix
    hit enter

Use IE's repair option via control panel add-remove-programs start the uninstall and select repair, note for us any error messages

have you scanned with both anti spyware/mail-ware programs
    Adaware and SpyBot ?
and did you update them before scanning ?
also have you looked here ?
    http://www.windows-help.net/windowsMe/system-restore3.html
First try (if your still having problems) running system restore in safe mode..

have you ran scandisk in thorough mode and then ran disk defrag
    lately,, in safe mode ?
    Regards
    Lonny
