Well, you can't solve them all I suppose.
GPF when my lady loads sol.exe on her machine - which is identical to this one, and I have no problems with sol.exe
So I downloaded her a clone (South Park Solitaire).
Works fine on this PC but same error on hers.
Looked at all the MS KB stuff but none seem relevant.
Control Panel ADD/REMOVE/REINSTALL Games to no avail.
Running out of ideas, so please help.
    regards

GPF's in MS games are usually caused by a conflict with some other program that's running. Use msconfig to turn off everthing that runs at startup. Reboot and see if it works. If so it's a just a matter of process of elimination. Start the startup programs one or a few at a time until you find the one that's causing it. My kids used to play Southpark Solitaire. It appeared to me at the time that it's just a skin of sorts for MS solitaire. I suspect the two are one in the same.

Thanks to Zander's post, I found this one.
    Unexpected result tho'
Now and again I copy this PC to the other one - tutti quanti.
After the last copy one of my apps, KeyText from good mate Martin got stuck somewhere.
What that has to do with sol.exe, I do not know yet.
Anyway I can sleep OK tonight knowing Mrs. Merlin will be happy
    tomorrow.
    regards
