My IBM Thinkpad 600x is running Windows 98. I normally use the 1024x768 screen resolution setting, which is fine.

However I need to run a Power Point slide show (for our wedding reception this Sunday) using a video projector that requires me to switch to 800x600 resolution, which, unfortunately isn't working properly., i.e, images and fonts look jagged with very very poor resolution.

    Any help would be appreciated.
BTW, I ran PC Doctor tests and the video function tested ok.

a little more detail, please... to try to narrow things down a bit.

when you say 800x600 looks bad, is this when using the projector, or your normal screen, or both pls?

what does it do with 640x480?
are only vertical lines jagged (ie horizontal lines come out OK), or both horizontal and vertical pls.?

    best wishes, HJ.

If the quality is bad...and you know you have a good video card....then I recommend changing your refresh rate. Up it a couple of notches and you'll be set.

    Anyone else?

if it's the projector that's unhappy (ie your own screen looks OK) it might be wise to look up compatible refresh rates for it first?
(some older ones can get quite unhappy with rates they can't handle)
    best wishes, HJ
