Installed 7 64bit, fully updated. Installed Crysis, Crysis warhead, Call of Duty4 and 2, GRAW 1 & 2 and they all crash.
Latest ATI drivers, up-to-date motherboard drivers etc.
Had GRAW and Crysis running with zero problems on the same pc with Vista 64bit installed. Only thing that has changed in the hardware is I now have a WD 1Tb Caviar Black installed.
Crysis will run in 32bit, but crashes when I exit the game.
All games have the latest patches installed.
    Roll on SP1 :(.

    Anyone have any ideas?

I would suspect your overclocking. But without seeing the actual BSOD's there's not a lot else I could say.

You can say "but it works fine on XXX ", I will just say that another OS will use the memory in a different way, so that's my bet.

Before I installed 7, I returned everything to stock settings in the bios, including enabling C&Q just to be on the safe side.
Games just do not like running on it.
When I had Vista I could have my processor clocked to 3800MHz as well as overclocking the RAM and I had no problem running the games.
Am thinking about dual booting 7 with XP to see how I go. All the games that crash are pre 7 release, so they should work fine with XP.
Just to clarify. The games do not crash the computer, they crash to desktop.
Once out of the game I check the temps and the processor is running at 48C and the 4870 about 50C. Ambients of around 30C.

IC. Well I have no experience running games on Windows 7. I suggest you try to check some gaming sites to see if other people are reporting problems running 7 with those games.

Also... check the manufacturer's website for 'patches' (call me "capt. obvious "). :D
