7.1 splash screen has a mind of it's own

    Hi,

    well lets see I have tried adding -quiet to the path and also tried adding -nosplash to the path but it seems that 7.1 just seems to have a mind of it's own. Anyone have any ideas as to get this annoying splash screen gone? :confused:

    What does your "target" line look like?

    It should look similar to the following example:

    c:\program files\netscape6\netscape6.exe(space)-nosplash
    or
    c:\program files\netscape6\netscape6.exe(space)-quiet

    (space) = a space with the spacebar.

    I had it that way.. I was trying to edit the quick launch button
    so I deleted it seeing how I had deleted the original desk top icon ..made a new desk top icon added to path and it works now
