    Ramona,

When sending an E-Mail and not entering anything in the subject box, I get a SEND MESSAGE dialog box stating:

You did not specify a subject for this message. If you would like to provide one, please type it now.

    (no subject)

    OK CANCEL

The "no subject" is highlighted so I would have thought that when I clicked OK, I would be able, should I so choose, to type something, replacing the highlighted "no subject" wording. But, if I do click okay the message is sent. If I click cancel, the box goes away and I then have to go to the subject line in the message to enter something.

I know this is stupid, but is this the way it should be?

    Pat

    Hi vegaspat,

That's the way it works on my end too, so maybe not the way it should be, but the way it is now.

Also the same on Mozilla 1.3b... :(

In NS 7.02 (compact) when you get the
error msg, the curser is in the (no subject) box. Just backspace/or highlight and delete and enter your subject text and select OK

If you select OK without making any change the msg is sent with "(no subject) ". If you select "cancel" you are taken back to you compose page.

It looks like this is what it is supposed to do.

    Maybe I'm missing something.

    regards:

    Hi captjlddavis,

On my system, the cursor isn't in the box, nor is the text highlighted. If I can highlight (no subject), I can neither add text, or delete. Interesting indeed, that your Compact Version allows this but my SillyDog Version does not. Maybe Holger has a tweak that allows this? I'll have to check this out...

    The rest remains the same.

    Ramona,

Just checked on Holger's NS 7.01 (compact) and it does the same as his 7.02 - Are you and vegaspat running the same NS builds.? I really don't think it is a tweak that Holger put in.

    regards:

    Hi Guys

Mine works verbatim to Ramona's. Using N7.0 from SillyDog.
Tried saving to "Draft ".... brought back and re-tried. Continues to respond the same.... NO cursor activity allowed into "Subject line" field within the send message view. Works the same in POP3 and WebMail IMAP accts. My assumption, there is a incorrect "field edit condition" applied to the field. Both mail accounts call and use the same view.

    Hi Dennis,

Thanks for your input! I did post on the Customized Builds Forum to see if others see this same performance.

I believe that vegaspat is using 7.01, but I don't know whose Release. Dennis is using 7.0, and mine is 7.02. captjlddavis has 7.02 Hozilla. I'll post back as soon as I get some feedback.
