64-bit system driver problems

    i recently purchased an asus motherboard m2a-vmh2 with a processor amd k8 athlon 64 x2 4200.
    i built the system and tried to install windows xp on it. windows works fine however the network drivers will not load. I am not sure if i can only use a 64-bit windows or is it possible to use 32-bit windows.
