This may be software or hardware. I have a 64-bit processor and using a 32-bit XP. I planned to migrate eventually to 64-bit Vista. I use ACT! database program. It runs only on net framework 2 and Sequal 2005. If I ***** with these ACT is very touchy. 64bit is not supported by ACT. I would like to figure out if ACT will run in some manner or other on a 64-bit platform. Will it run but it just won't be supported, or will it have a problem with the net framework and/or sequel as a result of the migration. ACT doesn't want to talk about it one way or the other.

Second question. Because I understand that silverlight runs on a sequel platform as I recall -- it's been a while -- will downloading silverlight create an issue for ACT.

Im always appreciative of various viewpoints and sometimes when you don't get an answer, you at least get an idea; However, if you're just going to be sarcastic, please answer someone else's question. Thank you.

You've probably been all through the system requirement pages like this:

    ACT! 2008 Solutions System Requirements
    http://www.act.com/2008/system/

Since there's no mention of 64 bit and they repeadily say 32 bit - I'd hold off going to a 64bit OS till you are sure it'll work.
