I have a long story on another thread about the 3rd party screensavers not working in my XP. I can Add it and preview it but when I apply it and say ok then go back to Display the screensaver message is None. These screensavers have worked for years on this very same computer and now they just don't. A couple of the guys on my other thread told me to do this DDS thing and put it on this Thread. And I don't really know what I'm doing. I think some fix from Microsoft really fixed it.
I have McAfee running. What does PCtools reg. mech. do bad? I bought a subscription :-*
Should I replace all the registry stuff it's removed? The computer is working and even when I reboot it still works.

 

Shall I close the thread now then? Arie and Whiskeyman told me to do the DDS thing cause they must have thought I had a Malware problem but now that isn't the issue so do I have to go back to the other Thread and tell them no problem there or what do I do?
