I can't figure out where to ask for support from 3Com, but after purchasing one of their AirConnect wireless cards, installed it w/drivers from their site, I plug it into my laptop and both lights just blink on and off at a regular interval. Is this normal?

I don't own one of these cards, but if they are anything like what I do use, one light is probably power, and the other is link. If so, as long as everything else is working, it should be normal.

What are the LCD's on the base station doing?
Basically, if both those lights are flashing you are not getting the data signal correctly or the encryption is being compromised.
I would start first with the base station, and make sure it is transmitting the signal correctly.

Then start to trouble shoot why you are not receiving the signal.
