2000 Domain to join a Forest

Hi All,

We've had our 2000 domain running for a year, and need to make a couple changes.

1. Current domain is usa.com

2. Need to create a new forest, europe.com

3. Need to create a second domain, london.com

4. Need to have both domains join the forest europe.com without interrupting any activity of the users on usa.com;

These two domains will be separated by the Atlantic Ocean but connecting through a VPN.

Any ideas?

Hi,

when you run dcpromo on the other machines waitng to join the domain you get asked weather you want to make a new domain, join an existing one, etc.

As long as your VPN is up and running and can see the SMB ports on the remote box there shouldnt be many problems.
