How can I run a old version of xp and the upgraded at the same time. I don't know how to create a new partition and a drive letter for it. it say's i now have 2 profiles as far as I can tell they are the same. it gave me a choice of 2 partitions to install it on but one did not have the space for it. I tired a repair install after I found one am it kept restarting. i tried several safe mode cmds none workedtried SFC /scannow no help last known i now have no networking. i did a reg cure scan had 1100 and +? invalid etrries i didn't know that was possible or how it could happen. i don't use regcure i just run it for info? had trouble with it removing needed things.

If it were me I would format the hard drive and start over. Use a Win9x/ME boot disk to FDISK the drive to setup the partitions then format both partitions.

I use this WinME bootdisk from Radifed. Just format a floppy then install this to it (self-extracting).

    Using FDISK
