I have 2 videocards in win98. One of them was disabled in "device manager ". But win98 keeps asking to setup the configuration. Will it stops doing it if I turn off the pnp of the BIOS?

If you are referring to the onboard video [not plugged into a slot], you need to disable it in the BIOS. If you have two video cards, remove one.

    startup

Press start/run type msconfig [enter] select the startup tab. Now look for the line is is the offensive video card software thingy.
Also rite click on the desktop, click properties, select setup tab. Now click advanced button & make sure your prefered video card is the default one:)
