    i've looked trough most of the posts relating to 0xc000000f thingy and didnt seem to find the exact match of my problem so i decided to create a new one...dont blame me if there IS an exact post and give me a link to it=] anywayz...:

    I have reinstalled my vista once before this problem it was like 3 weeks ago. there were no problems everything was smooth and fine so yesterday i thought i'll reinstall it again cuz i thought i want a ffresh start and ... so because there is no cd etc..u have to press F11 to start recovery as usuall i did the same thing prressed F11 then it asked me if i want to do a full recovery and some other option i chose full then it started all fine and once it was falf way trough, it turned off for n reason and when i manually turned it on again, i got this screen(i tried my best since i cant print screen or somethin)

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Windows boot manager

    windows failed to start. a recent hardware or software change might be the cause. to fix the problem:

    1. insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer

    2. choose your language setting, and then click "next "

    3. click "repair your computer "

    if you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance .

    Status: 0xc000000f

    info: the boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible

    ENTER=continue ESC=Exit

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    (this screen is in black background) well first i did the first thing noted...since i dont have the disk as its in laptop already i pressed F11 again and chose repair, it repaired itself and restarted...but the same thing happens... so i tried to do it one more time, i've pressed F11 on the start up again and then another similar screen appeared:

    i then tried to install windows xp service pack 2 i think from my brothers comp. boot from a disk...press any key message appeared i've pressed any key then it started all fine...files were loading and then i got to choose between whether to install/repair and something else i chose install as i dont have it installed so i cant repair.. then a message appeared saying setup cannot find any hard disk drives installed in your computer>>>then it gives me 1 option to choose which is F3=to quit

    Looks like you got problems with your hard disk. Check the hard disk manufacturers web site for their diagnostic software.
