matt thanx for your reply...the splash screen isn't milky...it becomes milky after windows loads...i did check over my work and all connections...
i have a sony viao that had no picture...so i changed the inverter and i got a picture...but the screen appears to be milky...so i changed the lcd...
its a celeron processor...the cd's im using are pretty much new...and i am saving the changes in the boot menu...it sees the changes in the boot...
i changed the ide cable and used an external cd drive and still the same problem...
