Well I am guessint that they didn't try any of the other F keys like I suggested. Seen this work before even though the manufacture didn't list it...
Depends on if there is a partition on the HD with the original OS on it. You can just wipe like C and leave D alone where the original OS is at.
I have seen where the type of PC said what F key to use and it was wrong. Have you tried any other F keys to see if that will work.
Leave them alone.

As MS said with Windows 10. You won't have to buy a new copy of Windows to keep up with the Jones's, They were right. You have to buy a new PC.
