    Thanks. It still has 5GB of free space on the boot partition. I will try the safe mode and see if it will boot.

    unable to boot W2k.. missing pagefile

    My W2k will not boot.. giving message missing pafefile.sys or pagfile too small.. then gave instruction to go into "my computer" properties...
