    scan disk & defraging problems

    I am having trouble running scan disk and defrag.....something else is writing to scan disk and it won't finish and must be the same with defrag....

    Some messages I get that have attachments, I can't open....it gives me a message that says can't find mailclnt.exe........any ideas or fixes???
