    Active desktop recovery wont go and other problems too

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;) Is it shutting down or rebooting? If shutting down - heat and or a failing power supply are the likely culprits.

    I think windows will only display delete info if you look at the properties of a file while it still is sitting in the recycle bin.
