CMOS Battery DEAD?..

    1. I hit the power button on the front of my PC, I get no boot beep and no video.

    2. I turn off the power supply switch in the back of my case and wait 30 secs. and now my PC boots fine..

    What's the dill pickle??

    I don't think it's a CMOS battery problem, because with the CMOS battery dead, the PC still boots up. If the battery was dead, the only difference would be that it warns you at startup and that it will lose any bios settings.

    I believe it's more a power supply problem related.
