When I receive a message in OE, any attached file with a .HTM or .HTML extension is grayed out in the CLIP/attachment list and cannot be saved. If the file has any other extension (like .TXT) then I CAN save it. Is there a setting somewhere in OE that I have to change to allow html files to be saved (sounds like it is set to be in-line, even though it doesn't actually appear in the message.. which is also odd in itself!).

    Thx,

    Hi mikenowo

You might try going to Tools in OE and clicking Options.
    Select the Security tab.
Uncheck: Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened
that could potentially be a virus.

BINGO! Thanks for the answer. Was looking through all the options too, didn't catch that one. Must be new as a default because I've never had that problem before.

    Glad it helped.
I think it gets set that way when you update to
OE 6 or install the windows updates.
