    I have lost the icons to IE6 in Explorer, I have deleted them via file types and also reset the paths for "open" to IE" but I still have no icons the file types are as follows:

    .HTML = File for HTML
    .HTML = Document for HTM

    It appears that IE does not have a repair function, or does it?

    Can anybody help?

    Paul

    Hi Paul

    If I understand correctly.
    Go on IE's toolbar, tools, IE options > programs and use the reset web settings and place a check next to [X] internet explorer should ,,, default browser etc

    Thanks to all for your input, but I have managed to cure it myself quite simply I used TweakUI and carried out the repair icons function and it worked first time.

    Thanks again
