Hi people I wonder if any of you can help me

A few days ago, I had to type a large report on my laptop so, I plugged in a keyboard, rather than use the laptop's keypad because it is easier to type. Ever since I have removed the keyboard, windows xp thinks it is still there and all the keys have now re-organised themselves - One half of the keypad thinks it is the numeric keyboard  Ive tried to change the settings but, it hasn't helped.

Anyone know how to stop windows thinking it has an enhanced keyboard installed??

    Welcome to the BBS!
Check for any keyboard layout software (you may not have any but check just in case) and uninstall it.
Delete (uninstall) the keyboard entry from the device manager. Shutdown windows (maybe even power the laptop off for 30secs or so after shutting down). Restart and let XP detect the keyboard (hopefully the laptop one). You may have (want) to go into the regional settings and setup the settings for your region. (U.S. Australia etc)
