I have Windows 98 and I am trying to install GEAR TO GO Digital Camera. The software loads just fine. However when I hook up the camera to the USB port, for it to install the proper drives, I get the following error message: Insert Windows 98 CD-Rom disc for missing 'kstvtune.ax' When I put in the Window 98 cd I get this error message cannot find missing file 'kswdmcap.ax' Anybody have any ideas or where I can dowload this file to make this digital camera to work. Thanks, Mark

This is with Win 98SE. Open your 98SE CD > Win 98 folder. The file is in the Driver11 file.

Which version of 98 are you using ?

USB in 98 ( not SE ) Stinks.

But with either version of 98 you need to point the request for files to the Win98 folder on the CD.

    Error Message

I have Windows 98 and not SE. The outside of the box says for Windows 98, but in checking the website after posting this message it indicated Windows 98SE. So I guess I am out of luck! Thanks to both of you anyway. Mark

Very poor labeling on some software and hardware boxes. As you just saw saying for 98 is not enough.

That is the reason I asked which version of 98 you were running ?

Even with the SP1 added 98 does not match up to 98SE.

If you can find a copy of 98SE ( NOT the $20 UPDATE version though ) it might pay you to upgrade.

MS has extended their support until Jan next year ( or about there )

Thanks Billy Bob and as soon as I get a chance I will upgrade to Windows 98SE. I appreciate your information. Mark
