I have recently reinstalled Windows 98. I have problems with the colour and screen size and have no idea where to begin to rectify the problem. Please someone help.
Also when I start the computer I get a message saying that DevCon32.DLL is missing. a) what is this and b) how do I get it back onto the computer.
Many thanks to all if you can help.

    Irene, Welcome to BBS.

    Start Button/Settings/Control Panel/Display/Settings

Set the colour and screen size as you want them.
    regards

    Thanks for the reply

Sadly this did not work. I seem to have only 16 colours to work from. How do I increase this please?

    Irene,

Welcome to the board! Did you install updated drivers for your video card? I did a quick look on Google for the dll that you mention and the first thing that comes up is a reference to a SBLive card. I know this a sound card, so if you have one, you may want to install the updated drivers for that also. If you want the dll file itself, you can find it here.

    I hope that helps.

    Mike

Install video drivers. If you do not know what it is, open case and look at the video card, it should have a brand and model number on it, if cannot find that, look for FCC ID#.
