    Formatting request (fairly urgent)

I am trying to take a series of e-mails sent between myself and another person (Yahoo and Outlook) and copy them into Word to print for a scrap book present.

When copy the e-mails, it appears that line breaks or something have made
    >>>the text look
    >> like this.

Is there any formatting trick to get this to simply appear like the sentence that I am writing now (no false sentence endings)? If I could simply copy them all in, then do something that would prevent me from having to go line by line through hundreds of e-mails, it would save me untold hours.

    Thanks!!!!

    Hi dennardj
Welcome to the boards! Have you tried something like this for the emails?

Thanks, Daisy. Do you have any idea if that would remove the > marks in prior e-mails? I am guessing it may only correct the issue going forward. I'm trying to put together a surprise scrap book for a trip later in the week.....

All I can suggest is to copy and paste it into the cleaning tool. See if it does the trick?

dennardj: I've been using that utility for a couple years. It's easy, quick, and does exactly what I think you want.

Sometimes you have to do a small amount of editing to your text within the utility, to get a few left-over lines closed up with the others, but then when you copy and paste the results wherever you want them, it's good, clean copy. I use it because I don't like to copy to MS Word or forward e-mails that contain a bunch of headers and all those arrow marks. Try it and get back to us and let us know how you like it.

Daizy - would you believe you don't even have to paste it in and then clean. Once you've copied the text you want, just click the smiley face on the eCleaner tool bar and it does a paste and clean.

dennardj - I agree with the others. An absolutely fantastic applet for cleaning up trashy emails. Wouldn't want to be without it. I always clean now before passing them along and sometimes clean just to make it easier for me to read.

Moving this up to the Other Software section since it isn't a W2K issue and is part app/part email.
