    Hi everyone,

I have just taken off Mandrake Linux 9 off my machine
But I have touched the Windows xp partition
is there a way to get rid of the boot loader or make it go to windows automatically

I would prefer not to refromat the windows partition

Stick in a Windows 98 boot disk. After machine boots from the Windows 98 disk, at the a: propmt, type fdisk /mbr. Take out the Windows 98 boot disk and re-boot. You should then boot into Windows therefore erasing the Linux LILO boot option. Hope this helps.

Just note what Microsoft says about that process - although it is the one they suggest for XP in How to Remove the Linux LILO Boot Manager.
