Advice needed: I have 2 computers connected in parallel via KVM switch. 1 monitor, keyboard & mouse. I have cable ISP (external modem). 1 printer HP 695Cxi. My #1 computer is connected to them now. On my #2 computer I could occasionally use them. I would like to connect the #2 computer to the Internet & printer also using a manual switch. Can I do this? What materials will I need?

    Nick,
I'm using a similar setup. I use a KVM, but I also use a router that allows me to share my internet connection and my printer. It also allows me to share files between the two computers. You would need to have NICs (network cards) in both computers.

    Nick,
Check the information on the router HERE . This is the one I have. I believe I paid around $70.00 for it. You can find them online fairly cheap. I just checked CDW and they're selling it for $56.99. You'll also need a couple of CAT5 cables to hook up your computers. Set up is fairly simple. HTH
