I just got an email returned from Postmaster@yahoo.com with the subject message "ACCESSKEY ".

I do not know the person to whom I supposedly sent the email--it was someone@yahoo.com--and I never sent anything with that subject.

I noticed there was a thread last summer about the Klez virus mailing itself as a returned email. Has anyone heard about a virus doing this returned mail?

    Hello Margot,

Klez is still around, probably will never go away.

I recieved something like this once because a friend of mine got infected with one of the Klez variants. My e-mail address was in his address book.

The "ACCESSKEY" business is a random creation of the virus. You can go here to the virus info center for more information on Klez and it's symptoms http://www3.ca.com/virusinfo/

    Regards - Charles

Thanks for the response, Charles. Sorry I didn't reply immediately--got lost in the shuffle of life.

Fortunately, I generally don't open attachments, and I keep my virus checkers up to date, so nothing came of this. But it's good to have the occasional reminder that there's a point to being careful!
