Unable to connect to internet

    Two computers sharing a cable modem. The first works just fine. The second suddenly stopped working a week ago.

    A tech support guy came and wrote on the work order:
    "Pulling an IP address, but TCP/IP not responding. Reinstalling TCP/IP didn't solve. Reinstalling OS may solve problem [no it didn't]. "

    File sharing between the two computers still works.
