    You're not going to like the answer anyhow. ;)
    If you're using Windows ME or XP, you'll need to use one of your restore points to a time before you installed it. Any other Version of windows, and you're pretty much hooped.

    This may be worth a try however: Right-click on a file and choose 'Open With', then 'choose program', Browse to Windows Media Player folder and choose mplayer2.

    yes i did,,, mplayer2 doesn't come up on the "open with" list but with the "other" button you can select anything you want
