Whenever I'm on a webpage and send a shortcut to the desktop, IE 6 will freeze up once I click on something else on the original page. I do the normal click on File, Send, Shortcut to Desktop. The shortcut goes to the desktop just fine, but 9 time out of 10 I've gotta do a 3 finger salute, kill IE6, and open the webpage from the shortcut if I want to continue browsing around that site. I'm running IE 6.0.2800.1106 & Win98SE.

    Stevereno Hi

I looked around a lttle bit but couldnt find anything exclusive to send shortcut to desktop , do the other send to functions work
does search ? is IE set as the default browser and is it set to check if its the default browser , you could also use the
[reset web settings ] button to see if that does anything for you.

Both are on IE options program tab.

any other problems with PC even if they seam completly unrelated.??

You could also try (use) the repair tool have you ?

You do know the easy way to put a linkon the desktop ?
just grap the ie icon in the titlebar or in the address bar

    could also look around
