New P.C. Dell Dimension 8300-Win XP Home Edition.
After installing and uninstalling some programmes- every time I startup or reboot the screen display opens with and stays on System 32 Folder. How can I fix? Thanks.

Check the Startup folder on the Start menu. If there's an entry for the System32 folder there, just delete it.

If that's not the fix, open any folder (My Computer will do), go to Tools>Folder Options and then the View tab. Scroll down to "Restore previous folder windows at logon" and uncheck it. Click OK.

No sys32 folder in startup and restore etc. is already unchecked. Anything further I can do? Thanks. Seamus.

Try downloading Startup ControlPanel - this will enable you to control what starts up at boot. The program icon resides in Control Panel.
