I'm administering some W2K machines at work. The machines are imaged from our IT department interstate and sent out. I noticed the latest build deny access to the Group Policy editor. Earlier images are OK. I gather it must be a registry setting as I have Administrator access.
They ship with SP2 and no further Windows updates etc.

    Installed SP3 but didn't help.

    Any ideas?

Did you check with the IT folks who created the image? Take a look Here for some of the stuff they may have done and maybe ways you can check.

    Thanks Newt,
I'll have a look and check later at work.

    Newt,
The link you provided didn't help, but it got me sniffing a little, and I discovered that all I needed to do was change the security permissions on the system32/GroupPolicy folder.
I can now run Group Policy.

    Thanks
