I've got a Yamaha CRW4416S that works fine with CD Writer 5.3.1.10, but when I try to use Win 2k Backup it gives me this msg. "Z: is not a valid drive, or you do not have access." I even went into the User Grp Permissions for Backup Operaters and Added my Administrator profile but still had same results.

    Help,
    George

    Back me up scotty!

Win2K does not recognize CDR & RW as a media format. In other word you will need a 3rd party prog to back up to disks.

Thanks, I was afraid of that. I'm now wondering if EZ CD Creator offers an Aux. util. that supports subsequent B'up Disks. That REALLY BITES that M'soft doesn't support that. Does XP?

    Backup stuff

Honestly I'm not sure. I've been using BackUp Now which lets me schedule BU's and spread across disks if needed and it runs as a service. I also use Drive image for full disk BU's.
