When I install Norton Internet Security 2003 on my Windows XP system, I'm not able to connect to the internet (page cannot be displayed). I have pinged my dsl server & that is working ok. If I disable the firewall and/or anti-virus, I still cannot connect. I have to remove NIS completely & reboot. Then I can connect.

From a LONG TIME ( but no longer ) Supporter of Norton.

Dump Norton and get something better.

I use AVG Anti-Virus and Kerio Firewall.

Work just as well ( if not better ) and LESS problems.

makingmecrazy, just a guess, but did you pick the option "Run Program Scan" during the installation progress? The first time I install NIS 2001 I found that was the problem when this happened to me. So this time when I unstalled NIS2003, I was sure to do it and had no problems at all.
