specker icon how to get it back?

    How do I get the speaker icon back so I will be able to get
    sound to my speakers?

    Go into the Control Panel and then into Multimedia and put a checkmark in Show volume control on the taskbar

    Check in the Device Manager to see if there is a problem with the drivers for the sound card, look for an exclamation point or and X through something.
