I am building a system fo my daughter, and I am planning on using my old monitor, but the multipin connector that plugs into the video card has fallen off, I have a new plug to solder on, but I don't know which wire goes where.
Is there a standard wiring pattern according to the wire colour, or do I have to have the actual wiring diagram from the manufacterer?

I don't really know who made it, the only thing that resembles a logo is on a sticker on the rear, the letters "GS ", it's got other information on the sticker about voltage properties and stuff like that, so the sticker must have been put there by the manufacterer, not a dealer.

    Can anyone help me please?

    Hi Digitalis,
I'm assuming that the monitor end of the cable is permanently attached. On the back of the monitor you should be able to find an FCC ID#. You can use that here http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/ to determine the mfgr. of the monitor. If it's a sufficiently reputable company they will have a web presence w/ the ability to accept email in their support dept..

    Good luck,
    Tin

Thanx everyone, this informatioin could help me, I am going to have a crack at it soon.

I have found out that it is an Elonex EM-1448LR, there is a website www.elonex.co.uk but there seems to be no way of getting through to customer services with an e-mail, on their site they ask for a serial number, and mine hasn't got one, so they won't let me post a message.

    Any ideas?

    Thanx, Tin.

That link you supplied took me to the Elomex main page, but after clicking "Contact" I seen something that I had missed "Support@Elonex.co.uk" So I sent them an e-mail.

I took the cover off the monitor, and happily the cables are l connected to two small white plugs (not soldered to a PCB). These pluga are about 15mm x 5mm x 2mm in size, one takes all the colour leads to a small PCB on the tube base, the other goes to another small PCB near the front of the monitor, I assume these are the H-Sync & V-Sync leads.

The e-mail I sent to the manufacturer asked if I could buy a replacement lead, hopefully they'll get back to me soon.

    Cheers all!
