OK reboot and you other pros.

Today, I started getting a pop-in small window that shows

.NET Passport Registration.. How to stop it, it is a "way" of trying to get user to use MSN as ISP - it would appear.
I'm not interested and the darn thing seems hidden. It leaveds no discernable history and "search" turns up nothing. Went threui Windows Explorer and found zip.

See here under 'T' > Tips or use TweakuiXP to turn off Balloon Tips.

Seems to work for me - I get no hassle re. .Net Passports - and I don't have one.

    Hi Ricky2
This is what it is and this is how how you can fix it. On the Passport edit profile page, the 3 questions on bottom..UNCHECK THEM ALL. DO NOT SHARE INFO with anyone /anything should do it. I have a passport via my Hotmail account, but am not being pestered like yourself. Hopefully that should do it. If you are NOT registered via Hotmail / MSN webmail accounts, then you could / should just cancel the service. BUT... I would still UNCHECK the 3 share questions BEFORE cancelling the service. Better safe than sorry.

    Dennis has the answer.
Although "dotnet" is slowly dying (I think), all it basically does, is keep you logged in to MS sites, including MSN. If you don't want it, it should be in Add/Remove programs for you to uninstall.
