    Hello,
A few days ago, I had a power outage while I was online...Everything about my computer seemed ok after I rebooted, but when I went to a certain web site to listen to music, it sounded like all the instruments were not in tune with each other (like a bunch of kids trying to play music for the 1st time!). I used the Direct X diagnostic tool @ the Music tab and tested : MIDI Mapper & Sound Scape MIDI Synth (330)...I heard music, but it sounded garbled just like the web site!
Can this be fixed without replacing any parts?...All other sounds are ok ( mp3, cd rom, etc.).

    Kindly,
    James M.

Reinstall sound card drivers. Did DxDiag notify about corrupted DirectX files? If that doesn't help, need new sound card.
