I thought the problem was fixed from a previous post, but no luck. I have Windows 98, Internet Explorer 6, Outlook Express, and McAfee Security Center. In clicking on links in my e-mail and on various web sites, I get the Microsoft Internet Explorer screen to come up, along with the task bar and nothing happens. The cursur just seems to float in the message area. Also I am unable to download any of the Windows Updates; on the McAfee Firewall I get: The upgrade failed to update your cached installation information which may cause some files to be left behind when you uninstall the program. On the McAfee Security Center I get: Can not perform operation successfully; Msg.Incompatible version of the RPC stub. With the linking problem I am unable to contact either Microsoft or McAfee support areas, either on-line or e-mail. HELP!!!
