Webmail Addressbook

I hav never managed to sync my Netscape address book with the Netscape Webmaill Addresss Book.

I press all the right buttons, enter all the right passwords and account names, but it never gets past the initial authentication.

Am I missing a trick?

Yes, you should be able to sync with your Webmail Address Book. There is a very detailed explanation on how it is done, in the:
Help | Help & Support Center | Index Tab | Address Book | Synchronizing

Other users have reported success with this Address Book synchronization.

Yes, Ramona, it does work, but VERY slowly.

Took for ever just to log om.

Mind you I was upt to 1400+ entries - four copies of some. Synchronise does not seem to reject duplicates.

And now I cannot delete the big database so I can start again.

Ah well, will try some more.

Now synchronsisation between Netscape mail and Mozilla Calander would be a useful development. Will the next Netscape include Calendar, and will it be syychronisable?

Does anyone know?

Calendar will not be integrated in Netscape 7.1. Integration in Mozilla is an ongoing project, but as to when that will occur, no timetable has been set .

As to the synchronization, I don't know, and am not a Calendar user. I am asking around to see if anyone else has any inside information.

When Tracking my PM's noted that you haven't picked up some of my replies to you. Are you aware that the BBS has email notification when you have a PM? Go to User CP | Edit Options
Select Yes for:
"Send you an email when you receive a Private Message? "

Used to get them.

Checked Prefs - that's set right.

I use Fastmail with spam filter set to "extremely aggressive" will reduce to "aggressive" where it used to be and see what happens.

 

I thought that might be happening. There are only a couple of PM's for you. Just chit chat, and nothing urgent.
