Start~Help & Support, search for pagefile and you should find a good explanation of what the error means and how to fix it.

    Hello Paddy,

Have you looked at the services and background software thats running at shutdown?

Here is what I would try: shutdown from safe mode, if the same happens, its windows itself, or one of the services.

If not: shut down a program one at a time, perhaps one of them is causing the symptom.

The one and only time I got this message was when I installed a program using Inctl5 in safe mode. Talk about spinning wheels, I could see the Ram being used, went down to zero.

    Regards - Charles

paddyslammer - I am a couple of years older than when that was taken. Pushing 60 real hard. I'm unusual though. I remember the 60s and lots of guys went thru it but were having so much fun with various substances they have only a memory of 10 years of fog.

But as long as mflynn is posting here, I feel like a youngster. :D
