When ever I do a re-start I get a small error box that reads "Invalid Backweb Application ID "8876480 ".

Does anyone know how I can correct this so that I don't get the error message?

    Thanks

Start > Run type in msconfig press OK. Select the Startup tab, and find an un-check backweb.

Note that sometimes there''ll be more then one listed.

Suppose this is an auto-update facility used by various parties - including Compaq, HP, McAfee at one time, and I am sure many others. It will most likely be removed when using anti Spyware software such as Spybot, Ad-Aware and/or others.
