    Hi All,

I DL'ed and tried Bootvis yesterday, and it SEEMED to work, but I've seen pics posted here of the program open and all kinds of graphs laid out in the RH pane. Mine just shows a blank gray pane with nothing in it. There seems to be no way to build or access a log file of what it did either. Could someone give an old geezer a lesson or two?

    TIA!

    Russ

    Hi Russ,

    Confusing, isn't it!

Run Bootvis - Trace > Optimise System - you've done that I guess.
Don't touch the PC until the Bootvis screen disappears.
    Restart Bootvis
File > click on 'Trace_Boot+Drivers_1_1.bin or similar
    The graphs appear like magic.

NB There is no Help File

BTW No question is stupid if you don't know the answer - if you did you wouldn't be asking the question :D I sometimes have to ask what day it is - and that is stupid I guess!!

    Hey Pete!

I found something on another board about COM services needing to be running. Upon looking in my "services" panel, lo and behold one of the COM services was "off ". Same board message stated to run the "Trace | Next Boot" option first, then run the Trace | Optimize System ". When doing the above combination, it worked. You'd think M$ would include a small readme file... :(
