Mouse not starting

    I have re installed my intelimouse, problem is, I have to open the exe file to get the thing to run. I have copied a shortcut into the start menu, but still not running at start up/

    Any comments from the forum guru's please.:cool:

    Click on the Start button -Run- type in MSCONFIG -click on the Startup button - make sure Pointer is checked. You will have to reboot. Mouse software should function now.

    I assume the mouse is correctly connected to the port and
    Windows does not report a missing mouse on start-up.
    I would use Control Panel/System and remove the mouse from your configuration. Then reboot and let Windows find drivers for it . These are available in Windows without using the CD that
    you got with the mouse.

    You are correct - there are some clever and helpful people on this board.
    I must also compliment you. Most people would NEVER remove their mouse from their system spec.
