    I need some information, if anyone can help;

    Looking to upgrade a friends pc's graphics, he has a Gigabyte GA-7VTXE (DDR memory), does this mean that it has to be a DDR graphics card, is it an option of either/or, or is it normal SDRAM graphics he needs?

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Looking up your board it says
    Supports PC1600/DDR200 or PC2100/DDR266 DDR memory
    Supports up to 3GB DDR memory
    3DIMMs of 184-pin DDR sockets
    This is not talking about video memory. Your board supports a 4x AGP video card. If you need the manual you can download. http://www.giga-byte.com/products/products.htm

    Thanx guys, that's all I needed to know, by the way, I already had dwled the mobo manual, but as I am not that experienced, I thought that where it states that it will take only DDR memory, I thought that may apply to the graphics card too, he's running win98se, so there shouldn't be any probs with any caards, should there?

    He shouldn't have any problems with 98SE. Just tell him to go buy the best card he can afford. I would suggest getting an nVidia based card. Buy one of the ones with 'Ti' in the name. They give you the most bang for your buck.
