    Hello all,

My system has only a CPU fan and the fan in the power supply, so I'm adding a new case fan. My question is: should I direct the airflow into the case or out of the case? Also what is the recommended CPU temperature to look for? I have an Athlon T-Bird 1.33. Thanks!

Not sure on the CPU temp, but for the fan - place it at the front of the case so that it draws cool air into the case.

Any additional cooling will always be better. I have 2 extra fans... whoppin' $20 or so for both of them. I have a "slot" fan in back that draws air out < fits where a PCI or ISA card would normally go >, and a std one in front of the case that draws air in..... makes for a noted 20° drop of inside temp on my machine <$200 Flike digital thermometer>...... well worth the $20 IMHO.
as far as temps go, I think someone said around 35° C was about right......

I would definitely add a fan in the front of your case blowing air in (like Cliffh suggested). Or if you really want to get into some serious cooling take a Dremel (or other small, powered, cutting tool) and cut a vent hole into the side of your case. Drop a fan in there blowing onto your cards/cpu and you will see a noticeable drop in your MB and CPU temps.
